2023 EVENT SCHEDULE
The 148th NYVI participates in many different forms of reenacting events. Living Histories are events where we recreate an encampment or garrison and interact with the public, answering questions and giving demonstrations. These can be held anywhere from small towns to historic forts and can range from 2-3 people to hundreds of participants. Re-enactments are a larger event usually held at a museum village or sponsoring town and feature not only the elements of a living history but also a staged re-enactment of a battle. Finally there are occasionally events that are for re-enactors only. These are typically drill weekends to practice what we will present at a public event or an event designed for the the re-enactor to better learn the finer details of 1860's life through a full immersion 1st person experience.
